Meet Kristy!

1. Tell us about yourself…

I grew up in Langley and was raised in the Lower Mainland, but my family and I live in Mission now. I have 3 kids; two boys ages 9 and 11, and a daughter who is 13 – so I’m a very busy happy Mom! We love to go camping, 4x4ing with the Jeep, and relaxing on movie nights. I’m also a huge country music fan!

2. What do you do at Radius Logistics?

I am one of the Logistics Coordinators at Radius Logistics, handling our consolidations. We run multiple trucks every week from various points in the US to our warehouse in Surrey, and to a cross dock in Ontario. Once the freight arrives at the dock we unload the truck and send all the individual shipments out for final delivery. I spend most of my time working with our carriers and cross dock partners. They are all great groups of people that share our philosophies. We take a lot of pride in our relationships with our carriers.

3. What do you love most about your job?

I love that it is always busy – there is never a dull moment. You never know where the world of transportation will take you in a day. Also, the staff at Radius are wonderful! We work well together and have a lot of fun!

4. If you could travel one place by air freight, ocean freight or ground freight, where would it be and which method of transportation would you choose?

Send me by courier van to the airport and I will hop on a plane to somewhere in the Caribbean. I’d love to board a cruise ship and set sail!

5. If you were stuck on a desert island and could only have 1 item couriered to you by Radius Courier to you – what would it be?

An iPod – music is my therapy.

6. If you could pick your dream car to be transported to you- what would it be?

I’ve always wanted a Camaro – the Bumblebee edition. I’m a huge Transformers fan!

7. What’s your go to travel song?

My favorite song is Walk of Life by Dire Straights. My Mom used to play this at the beginning of every road trip we took when I was a kid.
