Ralph Waldo Emerson said,
By these terms, this past holiday season at Radius has proven to be a great success. This year we were able to direct our efforts toward three local projects, the “Blessings in a Bag” Toiletry Campaign, the Covenant House Triple Match Campaign, and our Client Christmas eCards.
What began as a simple idea to collect extra hotel toiletries from staff, transformed into a client partnership resulting in an abundance of donations for the Surrey Gateway Shelter. It is this spirit of generosity from our clients and willingness from staff that continues to propel and sustain our multiple charitable initiatives not only during the holidays, but throughout the year as well.
Once again, Radius partnered with Covenant House Vancouver by supplying Tim Hortons Gift Cards for their youth Backpack Program, as well as a cash donation of $3,000.00. Through their Triple Match Campaign, Covenant House matched this for three times the impact which resulted in a total donation of $9,000.00.
Additionally, in lieu of Christmas gifts to clients, Radius partnered with three local charities; Canuck Place Children’s Hospice, Covenant House, and the Surrey Food Bank. Through beautiful Christmas eCards we invited clients to select which charity meant the most to them, and then took care of making the donation. We were absolutely thrilled with the glowing response this campaign received. In true holiday spirit, the personal replies from our clients were nothing short of heartwarming. This initiative resulted in another $3900.00 in donations towards these three extremely deserving organizations. On behalf of everyone at Radius Logistics, we would like to thank each person who participated in our holiday giving campaigns. It is an honour to give back to our community, and we could not have done it without your generous support.
